摘要: The concept of signaling endosomes originated from the observations that receptors activated at plasma membrane can continue after their endocytic internalization into endosomal compartments. In this chapter we discuss how unique features endosomes, such as biochemical properties, regulated cytoskeleton-mediated transport or heterogeneity, be exploited to modulate signal transduction. While may regulate magnitude, kinetics, and specificity signals, they also control intracellular localization molecules spatial propagation, thus contributing cell polarization. particular, describe known mechanisms by which early late act platforms for diversification, sequestration. Finally, review some examples contribute development physiology multicellular organisms aberrations in these processes lead pathologies.
