摘要: The study was conducted to evaluate factors that significantly influence indigenous poultry production among smallholder farmers in Tigania west Mer County using the function approach. relied on primary data collected by administering structured questionnaires 359 respondents randomly selected from 5 wards multi stage stratified random sampling and probability proportionate size techniques. A cross sectional survey design yields, inputs farmer demographics were collected. one step Cobb Douglas logarithmic form used estimate frontier production. From analyses, results showed over 50% of deviations output resulted constraints. Further, off farm income, technology adoption, flock size, extension access gender positively influenced production, while land under cultivation had a negative influence. Results revealed possibility increase improved feeds vaccinations since they most limiting resources. In addition, policy interventions aimed at enhancing adoption improving provision services would serve as motivation persuade stock apportion more credits This leading economies scale thus increased returns farmers.
