摘要: Chronic heart failure (HF) represents an emerging epidemic since its prevalence is continuously increasing despite advances in treatment. Many recent clinical studies have clearly demonstrated that statin therapy associated with improved outcomes HF irrespective of aetiology (ischaemic or not) baseline cholesterol levels. Indeed, most the conducted large trials and a positive effect statins patients. Furthermore, use seems to be safe as none has resulted worse for patients treated statins. Potential mechanisms through which could benefit failing myocardium include non-sterol effects statins, well on nitric oxide endothelial function, inflammation adhesion molecules, apoptosis myocardial remodelling neurohormonal activation. This review discusses pathophysiological basis focuses data from this setting. Until today there are no official recommendations both American European guidelines regarding patients, available come small observational larger but retrospective, non-randomised studies. Therefore, should according current lipid guidelines. Large randomised underway will further delineate role more available, we not recommend every patient
