Sonication effect on the mechanical properties of MWCNTs reinforced natural rubber

摘要: This study investigated the sonication effect on mechanical properties of thermoplastic natural rubber (TPNR) nanocomposites reinforced by multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The TPNR were prepared using melt blending method from polypropylene, and liquid as a compatibilizer, respectively, with 1% MWCNTs. results showed that good dispersion was achieved sonication. An optimal time 1 h found to produce maximum tensile impact strength. Young’s modulus, strength, elongation at break strength increased almost 11%, 21%, 43% 50%, respectively compared pristine sample. also confirmed dynamic analysis, it storage modulus E0, loss E00 glass transition temperature (Tg) for all MWCNTs samples.
