摘要: Aerosolized NONOates have been investigated in animal models acute pulmonary hypertension, but none used humans. We report the first use of aerosolized diethylenetriamine nitric oxide adduct (DETA/NO), a NONOate, patient with severe respiratory distress syndrome. Both vascular resistance index and mean arterial pressure were reduced by 26% 18% respectively after administration single dose DETA/NO (150 micromol). Intrapulmonary shunting also improved. There no significant changes systemic or methaemoglobin concentration inhalation. conclude that aerosol produced selective vasodilation, an improvement haemodynamics oxygenation, while having measurable effect on circulation.
