摘要: We compared abundance and diversity of breeding winter birds between commercially thinned unthinned 40to 55-year-old Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) stands in the Oregon Coast Ranges. Abundance was greater stands. Bird species richness correlated with habitat patchiness densities hardwoods, snags, conifers. During season, Hammond's flycatchers (Empidonax hammondii), hairy woodpeckers (Picoides villosus), red-breasted nuthatches (Sitta canadensis), dark-eyed juncos (Junco hyemalis), warbling vireos (Vireo gilvus), evening grosbeaks (Coccothraustes vespertinus) were more abundant than Pacific-slope difficilis) Golden-crowned kinglets (Regulus satrapa), gray jays (Perisoreus black-throated warblers (Dendroica nigrescens) stands, but these patterns inconsistent seasons, regions, or years. Stand-scale features associated 18 bird species.
