Calculation of equivalent step-index parameters for single-mode fibres

摘要: Various methods have been used to calculate wavelength-independent equivalent step-index values of core diameter and relative refractive index difference for a non-step-index fibre. The discrepancies in the results indicate that this system fibre description should not be without an express statement mode calculation.
