摘要: In the letter, feasibility of applying equivalent-step-index parameters to estimate single-mode waveguide dispersion various radially inhomogeneous profiles is studied. The results are compared actual values obtained by numerical techniques and errors estimated. equivalent-step approach seems be accurate only for cases where do not deviate severely from step-index profile.
