摘要: The purpose of the study was to determine incidence vesicoureteric reflux (VUR), renal scars and hypertension in asymptomatic siblings children with VUR. comprised 105 patients Their age ranged from 4 months 6.3 years. All had a direct radionuclide voiding cystography (DRVC) performed, VUR detected 47 (45%). High grade first year life an 50% compared 9% older than 2 years, while only one 27 low younger 1 year. In 43 VUR, technetium-99m dimercaptosuccinic acid (99mTc-DMSA) scan performed were found 10, which presents 23% who scanned 10% all studied. One child hypertension. Identifying among could possibly prevent damage its consequences. Thus, predictive value positive family history alone identifying 45% scars. This justifies routine investigation siblings, by using DRVC at early stage.
