This distinction not absolute, since some cytokines may circulate when in large amounts. production the three major (parathyroid hormone, calcitonin, 1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D) regulated extracellular fluid calcium, their primary role maintenance calcium homeostasis rather than control cell function.
