摘要: Objective The aim of this study was to investigate pain patterns and the distribution myofascial trigger points (MTPs) in whiplash-associated disorders (WADs II III) as compared with mechanical neck (MNP). Methods Manual examination suboccipital, upper trapezius, elevator scapula, temporalis, supraspinatus, infraspinatus, deltoid, sternocleidomastoid muscles, done search for presence both active or latent MTPs 49 WAD patients 56 MNP patients. Local referred from each MTP recorded on an anatomical map. Results The mean number significantly greater group (6.71 ± 0.79) than (3.26 ± 0.33) (P 0.05). In group, current intensity (visual analogue scale) correlated (rs = 0.03, P = 0.03) spontaneous area (rs = 0.25, P = 0.07), (rs = 0.3, P = 0.03). significant correlation found only between duration (rs = 0.29, P = 0.02). Conclusions Active are more prominent related size whiplash This may underlie a lower degree sensitization WAD.
