摘要: The investigations that have thus far evaluated the cerebral protective properties of isoflurane provided conflicting results. Protection would be most likely to occur in circumstances incomplete ischaemia which there is a penumbral zone marginal perfusion. present investigation sought evaluate further circumstance. Middle artery occlusion (MCAO) was performed Sprague-Dawley rats anaesthetized with 1.2 MAC concentrations either halothane or isoflurane. At end four hours MCAO, brains were removed, sectioned and incubated histochemical stain 2–3-triphenyltetrazolium (TTC). An image analysis system used measure area reduced absent TTC staining coronal planes spanning distribution middle artery. There no difference between animals respect brain evidence dysfunction. It concluded not (relative status control animals) when administered at concentration during focal (incomplete) rat.
