摘要: Background: Accumulated studies have revealed that vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays an essential role in the progression of glioma, but prognostic significance VEGF expression for patients with glioma remains unknown. Method and material: A literature search public databases (PubMed, ISI Web Science, Science Direct, Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials, Wiley Online Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Biology Medicine disc, Chongqing VIP Wan Fang Data) was conducted. meta-analysis performed to evaluate association between overexpression survival patients. Subsequently we evaluated impact on pathological grade glioma. Results: total 32 articles 2307 cases contributed this analysis, which 31 reported overall (OS) 5 progression-free (PFS). In meta-analysis, significantly identified unfavorable outcome OS (HR = 1.647, 95% CI: 1.324~2.048, P < 0.001, Z 4.48) not PFS 1.021, 0.974~1.070, 0.393). Subgroup analyses also high level associated poor according region, case number, specimen type, method detect statistical method. Furthermore, significant correlation achieved (r 0.307, 0.001). Conclusion: This study suggests is correlated may be a valuable
