摘要: Morbid obesity is a state of insulin resistance combined with excess visceral fat, which contributes to the development metabolic syndrome (MetS). Nonsurgical treatment usually improves MetS, but there no ultimate resolution and weight regain common. Surgical options like Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) sleeve gastrectomy (SG) result in significant sustained loss accompanied by improvement MetS. The aim this study was compare MetS parameters between degree II III obese patients undergoing RYGB or SG period 12 months. Analysis medical records 102 diagnosed (63 39 SG) reference center (CTO ISCMPA) 2010 2013. After 1-year follow-up, an (EWL) 77.2 ± 22.5% 63.4 ± 20.1% (p = 0.033) observed groups, respectively. rate very similar (87.3 84.6%, respectively; p = 0.971). percentage type 2 diabetes 3.3% for 15.4% (p = 0.025). Fasting blood glucose levels followed same trend mean values reaching 87.6 ± 16.9 mg/dl group 97.7 ± 35.5 mg/dl (p = 0.023). Among studied, both surgical techniques were safe effective However, more EWL some related metabolism.
