摘要: Cold-acclimated non-diapause pupae, and summer- winter-diapause pupae of the onion maggot, Delia antiqua (Diptera: Anthomyiidae), show marked cold hardiness as compared with intact pupae. Homeoviscous adaptation cellular membranes is crucial to enhance organisms, Delta9-acyl-CoA desaturases have been assumed, albeit without experimental evidence in insects, play a key role adaptation. We cloned cDNA desaturase gene (Dadesat) from D. antiqua, which most likely encode desaturase. Expression Dadesat mRNA brain, midgut, Malpighian tubules cold-acclimated diapause was upregulated 2-10 fold, correlating well increase hardiness. In enhanced hardiness, palmitoleic oleic acids, presumed products Dadesat, phospholipids were significantly increased. These findings suggest that expression contributes through production these unsaturated fatty acids.
