摘要: Abstract Greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector of New Zealand have increased rapidly over last two and half decades despite various policy initiatives by government. This raises questions acceptability effectiveness policies to reduce greenhouse this sector. study therefore investigates mitigation potential while considering their costs, benefits ethical aspects. A multi-criteria analysis technique is adopted understand how experts (including advisers) perceive benefits, reduction potentials priorities Zealand's policies. total 26 options are identified, they categorized under six pathways. The perspectives sought aggregated using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) compare evaluate pathways options. Results demonstrate that increasing active public investment most acceptable option followed travel demand management, a carbon price, electric vehicle support, support for fuel-efficient vehicles biofuels. However, in terms potential, ceasing import petrol diesel cars into 2030 found be strongest option. It expected findings will help illuminate aspects measures assist advisers identifying attractive projects investment.
