摘要: The work described in this paper was motivated by a perceived increase the frequency at which power system operators are encountering high stress bulk transmission systems and corresponding need to improve security monitoring of these networks. Online risk-based assessment provides rapid online quantification level associated with an existing or forecasted operating condition. One major advantage approach over deterministic is that it condenses contingency likelihood severity into indices reflect probabilistic risk. Use control room decision making leads increased understanding potential network problems, including overload, cascading low voltages, voltage instability, resulting improved security-related making. Test results on large-scale models retrieved from energy-management U.S. utility company described.
