摘要: To meet the political goals regarding renewable energy production, offshore wind keeps expanding to waters with larger depths and harsher conditions, while turbine size continues grow ever-larger foundation structures are required. This development can only be successful if further cuts in levelized cost of established. Regarding design structures, a particular challenge this respect relates reduction total computational time required for design. For both practical commercial reasons, decoupled modelling support finds common application, especially during preliminary stage. approach aims at capturing relevant characteristics different environment-structure interactions, reducing complexity as much possible. paper presents comprehensive review state-of-the-art approaches environmental interactions structures. In respect, primary focus is on monopile foundation, concept expected remain prominent solution years come. Current challenges field identified, considering well engineering practice insights obtained from code comparison studies experimental validations. It concluded that analysis provides valuable perspectives, strategies, however, trade-off costs should always kept mind.
