摘要: Abstract A three dimensional numerical approach based on IHFOAM to study the interaction of tsunami waves with mangrove forest is presented. As a first approximation, problem modelled by means solitary impinging emergent rigid cylinders. Two different conceptual approaches are implemented into IHFOAM. Solving URANS equations provides direct simulation flow field considering actual geometry array modified version volume-average introducing drag force model momentum damping created cylinders used in second approach. Both and macroscopic simulations validated against laboratory experiments for wave very high agreement. large set analyse parameters uniform random cylinder distributions analysed use compare pros cons approaches. Large differences found forces exerted vegetation distributions. Generalizations obtained from arrangements could lead underestimation wave-exerted forces, especially low dense configurations. Wave calculated coefficient yields clear underestimations.
