摘要: 1. The effect of quinolinic acid, N-methyl-D,L-aspartate (NMDLA) and kainate on the release endogenous exogenous amino acids from rat cerebral cortex in vitro vivo was studied. 2. Neither acid nor NMDLA had any basal or potassium-evoked [3H]-D-aspartate slices either presence absence magnesium. Kainic failed to modify efflux but significantly inhibited (by 34.4% +/- 0.04%, P less than 0.05) release. 3. quinolinate cortical magnesium ions at concentrations between 10 microM 5 mM. 4. Both (1 mM) (5 produced an aspartate (371.4% 11.6%; 389.3% 12.1%) glutamate (405.4% 13.6%; 430.1 8.7%) respectively (P 0.01). acid-evoked abolished by antagonist, 2-amino-5-phosphonovaleric (200 microM). 5. also caused vivo. However, profile this different that NMDLA. 6. results add further support suggestion acts NMDLA-preferring receptor may explain requirement for intact afferent projections neurotoxic effects be manifested.
