摘要: Abstract Model experiments were specifically designed to test the effect of different profile shapes early folds on refolding patterns. Comparison natural examples with experimental results and analogy engineering information buckling fold suggest that, when layers are mechanically active during refolding, shape markedly affects patterns interference. Open rounded tend refold form dome basin interference whereas isoclinal by folding their axial plane, forming type 2 Hence, dimensions control preferred mode refolding.
