摘要: Abstract The tissue renin angiotensin system (tRAS) is a locally-acting master-modulator of homeostasis and regeneration. Through these abilities, it emerging as an attractive target for therapies aiming to restore in conditions associated with disturbed wound healing. tRAS can be divided into two axes – one being pro-inflammatory pro-fibrotic anti-inflammatory anti-fibrotic. However, the division fuzzy imperfect are codependent outcome activation determined by context. Although local shares its key enzymes, ligands receptors systemic RAS consequently also targeted repurposing drugs developed against manage hypertension. With focus on skin we will here discuss tRAS, involvement physiological pathological healing, therapeutic aptitude targeting treat chronic wounds fibrosis.
