A Review of IBS Malaysian Current and Future Study

摘要: Malaysia considers the construction industry as one of main contributors for country?s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) towards a developed country by 2020. In view that, Malaysian Government proposed new strategy through industrialization technology called Industrialized Building System (IBS). Although IBS was introduced since 40 years ago, with well- documented benefits and strong support from Government, pace implementation usage is still slow below target. Current literature found out that investigation many researchers mostly focusses on technical (hard) issues such design structure, material testing product development rather than studies related to management or soft issues, vendor programs, readiness practices, collaborative integrated design, supply chain processes. With regards challenge, this research hoped highlight pertaining perspective betterment in industry. Therefore, paper will review trend current Later on, followed suggestions future work more efficient effective Malaysia.
