摘要: Fatigue is a major disabling complaint in patients with immune-mediated neuropathies (IN). The 9-item fatigue severity scale (FSS) has been used to assess these conditions, despite having limitations due its classic ordinal construct. aim was improve assessment IN through evaluation of the FSS using modern clinimetric approach [Rasch unidimensional measurement model (RUMM2020)]. Included were 192 stable Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) or polyneuropathy associated monoclonal gammopathy undetermined significance (MGUSP). obtained data exposed RUMM2020 investigate whether this would meet expectations. Also, reliability and validity studies performed. original did not Rasch expectations, primarily based on two misfitting items, one also showing bias towards factor 'walking independent.' After removing items collapsing 7-point Likert options 4-point response categories for remaining we succeeded constructing 7-item Rasch-built that fulfilled all requirements unidimensionality, linearity, rating model. Good modified scale. In conclusion, linearly weighted presented more proper future neuropathies.
