Effect of graphene and multiwalled carbon nanotube additives on the properties of nano-reinforced rubber

摘要: In this study, two types of polybutadiene rubber reinforced by graphene and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were successfully prepared for tire manufacturing applications. The effect non-materials addition on the thermal, structural, mechanical properties was investigated. adding MWCNTs at varying weight composition 0, 0.5, 1, 2 wt% nanocomposite nanomaterials to significantly influenced its measured specifications in comparison with parent rubber. SEM results showed a high dispersion both matrix. nano-reinforced considerable increase an loading nanomaterials. study shows that best nano-additive thereby resulting highest values tensile strength (12.5 10.8) MPa, hardness (52, 49), compression (11.33, 10) respectively.
