摘要: Abstract Despite offering many benefits to patients, the hospital, and hospital staff, an academic psychiatric consultation service is difficult fund. By screening Medicare patients for complications comorbid conditions, consultation-liaison (C-L) can generate incremental revenue by moving from lower-paying higher-paying Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs). The C-L chief negotiate with obtain a portion of these funds support service. Concurrent disorders that move more complex DRGs include substance abuse, dependence, drug-induced delirium, organic affective syndrome, psychotic depression.
