摘要: Abstract This research work presents the design and characterization of planar discrete lens antennas (TA Transmit-Array antennas) based on a simple tri-layer elementary cell operating in 10-GHz band. The structure proposed allows 1-bit 2-bit phase quantization easy fabrication with printed-circuit board. linear/circular polarization can be generated 1-bit/2-bit configuration. consists two C-slot loaded patch interconnected by metalized via hole. simulation has been validated measurement that confirmed good accord terms return loss (10 dB-bandwidth is equal to 9%) insertion (0.35 dB at 10 GHz). linearly-polarized transmit-array achieves maximum directivity 25.1 dBi gain 22.7 dBi. 1-dB bandwidth up 9.6% around 9.8 GHz 56.3% radiation efficiency. Beam-steering 30° achieved tilting focal source.
