摘要: Transmitarrays have been shown to be viable architectures for achieving high-directivity reconfigurable apertures. Two transmitarray elements, using single and stacked patches, based on proximity-coupled feeding two balanced bridged-T phase shifters are presented. Both designs achieve over 400 of range average insertion losses 3.6 dB. Compared existing proposed the stacked-patch element has a much smaller physical profile, with lens thickness only 0.17 λ in free-space, while large bandwidth 500 MHz at 5 GHz (10%). Other considerations such as mutual coupling beam squint an array also discussed.
