摘要: The photomicrographs of ‘genes in action’ taken by Miller and colleagues strikingly illustrate transcription eukaryotic genes RNA polymerase moving along the DNA1,2. Although completed transcripts may be associated with sub-nuclear structures3–7, view that a mobile processes DNA remains unchallenged. Here we examine an alternative view—that occurs as passes through complex fixed to structure, show transcribed sequences are closely structure call nuclear cage.
