摘要: The SCID-hu Thy/Liv mouse is a model for the analysis of human thymopoiesis. It has been constructed by engrafting fragments fetal liver and thymus into immunodeficient C.B-17 scid/scid (SCID) mouse. resulting 'Thy/Liv' organ promotes long-term differentiation T cells. Given apparently normal physiology organ, it used to explore pathophysiologic mechanisms HIV-1 infection in vivo, test therapeutic modalities such as anti-HIV-1 drugs haematopoietic stem cell (HSC)-based gene therapy. In this review, I will summarise what we have learned from model, with focus on recent findings replication Unique determinants identified which are required but not PBMC or lines vitro. mechanism induced depletion clear. correlated high levels replication. Using these models, current/future efforts provide insightful information understanding pathogenesis designing interventions against humans, especially paediatric patients.
