摘要: Although the role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF or VEGF-A) in angiogenesis is well studied, little known about its maintenance quiescent vasculature. Recent observations from clinical trials using anti-VEGF therapy, as disease preeclampsia, point to a for VEGF adult. This chapter explores both and experimental neutralization studies discusses potential adult maintaining cell (EC) survival fenestration, action on non-ECs. Properties that may affect vivo are discussed. Finally, implications use anti- pro-angiogenic therapy proposed.
