摘要: The vertical transmission of fowl adenoviruses (FAdVs) was studied by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and virus isolation. Liver, spleen, kidney, bursa Fabricius were collected from 60 chicks 1 d old representing progenies hatched to 6 broiler breeder flocks in geographically different premises Ontario, Canada. presence FAdV DNA sequences detected PCR with the use primers specific for conserved pVI gene FAdV-9 58 (24%) 240 samples tested. All flock negative sequences, only a few positive 3 flocks, whereas 32% 72% other 2 positive. Testing sample designed amplify L1 region hexon protein amino acid sequence analysis product indicated that similar serotype-8a sequences. No isolated chicken hepatoma cells any 30 inoculated. These findings imply establishment latent infection FAdVs can occur chickens.
