摘要: The Electronic Health Record (EHR) is now widely used in clinical encounters. Because its use can negatively impact the physician-patient relationship, several recommendations on “patient-centered” of EHR have been published. However, training to improve during encounters not well known. aim this study was assess residents’ EHR-related communication skills and explore whether they varied according content consultation. We conducted a pre-post intervention at Primary Care Division Geneva University Hospitals, Switzerland. Residents were invited attend 3-month course that included 2 large group sessions 2–4 individualized coaching based videotaped Outcomes were: 1) perceptions regarding EHR, measured through self-administered questionnaire 2) objective first 10 min patient Changes practice pre post using Roter interaction analysis system (RIAS) specific items. Seventeen out 27 residents took part study. Participants about 30% consultations. After training, less likely consider be barrier felt more comfortable EHR. participants increased signposting when (pre: 0.77, SD 1.69; post: 1.80, SD3.35; p 0.035) decreased psychosocial issues appeared 24.5% 9.76%, p < 0.001). This suggests skills, especially situations where patients bring up sensitive issues. Future research should focus patients’ relevance usefulness such skills.
