Nowadays, antiviral effective treatment is unknown, which why blood and urine screening renal transplantation has become most important recommendation guide decrease immunosuppression, only proven method poor outcomes. Different interventions, such as cidofovir, leflunomide, fluoroquinolones, intravenous immunoglobulin, have been attempted no improvement at all. This review aims summarize relevant features virus, historical issues, transmission mechanisms, risk factors, therapeutic interventions.
