摘要: ABSTRACT The neurosecretory cycle of the bay scallop can be divided into five stages which correlate with oogenesis. It is proposed that Stage I time or food dependent and secretes a neuroendocrine allows nutrient accumulation while II III act as “on - off” mechanisms controlling transfer these nutrients to gonads. Advance IV occurs corresponding growth oocytes maturity. Another secretion (Stage V) may initiate spawning.
