摘要: The vitamin B6 status of 10 pregnant women (third trimester), 9 oral contraceptive agent users, and 12 notnpregnant (controls) was investigated over a 10-week period by means the erythrocyte glutamate-oxaloacetate transaminase (E-GOT) activation test measurements whole blood pyridoxal phosphate levels. Blood levels in users (7.6 plus or minus 1.1 ng/ml) were significantly lower than control group (9.6 1.7 mg/ml)indicating relative deficiency. Pyridoxal women(5.1 1.3ng/ml) even lower; fact, no overlap found individual mean values between groups. E-GOT did not indicate deficiency factor correlate with unless results obtained after pyridoxine hydrochloride (20 mg/day) administration included. appears to be poor indicator status, except pronounced as it is less responsive depletion levels, suffers from relatively large variations values. This may result factors unrelated remained fairly constant individuals investigated.
