摘要: The p53 gene has been correlated with disease progression in a number of human malignancies, and abnormalities are found high percentage head neck squamous cell carcinomas. objectives this study were 1. to correlate expression carcinoma the (SCCHN), 2. determine whether there site-specific differences expression. Primary lesions and/or lymph node metastases from 147 patients invasive SCCHN immunostained for overexpression. Expression was similar (42% versus 43%) primary metastases. also did not vary significantly by site neck. In conclusion, increased our series SCCHN. finding lack spread nodes supports belief that alterations occur early carcinogenesis.
