摘要: Abstract Resistance to antibiotics is a public health issue and identification of new antibacterial agents one the most important goals pharmacological research. Among novel developed agents, porphyrin complexes their derivatives are ideal candidates for use in medical applications. Phthalocyanines differ from porphyrins by having nitrogen atoms link individual pyrrol units. The aza analogues phthalocyanines (azaPcs) such as tetramethylmetalloporphyrazines heterocyclic Pc analogues. In this investigation, interaction an anionic phthalocyanine (Cu(PcTs)) two cationic tetrapyridinoporphyrazines including [Cu(2,3-tmtppa)]4+ [Cu(3,4-tmtppa)]4+ with plasmid DNA was studied using spectroscopic gel electrophoresis methods. addition, effect against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) Gram-negative (Escherichia coli) bacteria investigated dilution test method. results indicated that both porphyrazines have significant properties, but Cu(PcTs) has weak effect. Compairing binding demonstrated stronger than remarkably. extent hypochromicity red shift absorption spectra preferential intercalation porphyrazine into base pairs helix. Gel result implied Cu(2,3-tmtppa) Cu(3,4-tmtppa) able perform cleavage DNA. Consequently, might be mechanisms complexes.
