Structure and photoluminescence properties of TeO2-core/TiO2-shell nanowires

摘要: Abstract TeO 2 -core/TiO -shell nanowires were fabricated by thermal evaporation of Te powders and MOCVD TiO . The as-synthesized showed a weak broad violet band centered at approximately 430 nm. emission peak was shifted to bluish region (∼455 nm) the encapsulation with thin film. intensity major from core–shell strong dependence on shell layer thickness. strongest obtained for thickness ∼15 nm its 80 times higher than that nanowires. This enhancement in is attributed subwavelength optical resonant cavity formation layer. enhanced further blue-shifted annealing, which might be increase Ti interstitial O vacancy concentrations cores during annealing.
