摘要: The curing characteristics of a brominated epoxy resin/dicyandiamide (DICY) system in the presence different DICY contents and metal oxides are studied using isothermal differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). From exotherms obtained, it is found that reaction heats increase with increasing content temperature because greater amounts reacted. amine–epoxy-related dominates major behavior Tg especially at high temperature, while etherification more significant low conversion plays an important role determining rate liquid-to-solid transition during cure. addition oxides, Fe2O3, ZnO, results changes initial rate, Tg, activation energy, heat, order. Three fillers respond differently difference surface-activated reaction. Regardless complex mechanisms involved specimens, simple kinetic expression can describe extent 180°C good accuracy. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
