Utility of Pamphlets in Promoting Knowledge and Positive Attitudes about Two Early Cancer Detection Procedures.

摘要: Breast selfexamination (BSE) and testicular (TSE) are useful adjuvants for the early detection of these respec tive types cancer. Informational pamphlets about two pro cedures widely distributed in health care settings. Their effec tiveness promoting knowledge positive attitudes procedures is largely an unknown quantity, however. A study was undertaken to compare with alternative methods Jf -mation delivery BSE TSE. The sample 219 females 157 males drawn from a science course midwestern university. Female subjects were randomly assigned pamphlet, modeling, or modeling guided practice groups. Male TSE pamphlet group one facilitatorconducted Knowledge posttested upon completion 60minute programs. Groups did not differ respect respective (p=.05), but more favorable responses programs occur among groups both regarding selected 04(.05).
