摘要: Abstract Locally advanced prostate cancer encompasses several disease states that vary in the risk for progression and recurrence after Initials treatment. Further, optimal treatment strategies locally are continuing to evolve, reflecting complex nature of this state. For many patients, clinical experience demonstrates a combined approach directed therapy systemic is likely provide better long-term outcome than singlemodality therapy. Randomized studies have established hormone ablation with external-beam radiation as an important form group patients. However, additional progress needs be made, particularly subgroup patients very high-risk features. As integration local treatments becomes more clearly defined, prognosis will improve.
