摘要: Ten patients with clinical and laboratory features of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) underwent renal ultrasonography prior to biopsy because proteinuria, azotemia, or uremia. Four had a history intravenous heroin abuse were considered separately so as exclude it cause nephropathy. Histological examination revealed focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), which in AIDS is characterized by rapid progression severe uremia (though FSGS can also occur several other forms disease). The authors recommend that AIDS-associated be type I parenchymal disease suggest serial sonograms may useful monitoring progressive involvement.
