摘要: Thio-dimethylarsinic acid (thio-DMA(V)) has recently been identified as human metabolite after exposure toward both the carcinogen inorganic arsenic and arsenosugars, which are major arsenical constituents of marine algae. This study aims to get further insight in toxic modes action thio-DMA(V) cultured urothelial cells. Among others effects on eight cell death related endpoints, cycle distribution, genotoxicity, cellular bioavailability well for first time its impact DNA damage induced poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation were investigated compared by arsenite. The data indicate that exerts toxicity a similar or even lower concentration range, however most likely via different mechanisms, than Most interestingly, decreased damage-induced 35,000-fold concentrations inhibition this essential DNA-damage DNA-repair signaling reaction might contribute toxicity, at least bladder. Therefore, also because is date far arsenosugar intake, should contemporary be fully (also vivo) toxicologically characterized, assess risks health but especially dietary intake.
