Dilute-solution behavior of aeromonas gum, a heteropolysaccharide

摘要: Fifteen fractions of aeromonas gum, a heteropolysaccharide produced by the strain Aeromonas nichidenii, have been studied static light scattering and viscometry with dimethylsulfoxide containing 0.2 M LiCl at 25°C as solvent. Data for z-average radius gyration intrinsic viscosity covering molecular weight range from 4.5 × 105 to 2 106 show polymer behave like semiflexible chain in this solvent, are analyzed on basis wormlike coarse-graining molecule. It is shown that these data those particle function consistently explained model (mean) persistence length 10 (± 1) nm linear mass density 1450 100) nm−1, stiff cellulose derivatives.
