摘要: Background: Liver injury or dysfunction is considered as a serious health problem. The available synthetic drugs to treat liver disorders are expensive and cause further damage. Hence, hepatoprotective effects of some herbal have been investigated, one the methods choose herbs in order study their biological search ancient medical texts. Avicenna who known prince physicians had collected classified Greek, Persian Islamic medicine best possible way book Canon Arabic. Objectives: Avicenna’s Medicine was reviewed find herbs. Patients Methods: Three different versions were prepared utilized. To scientific names plants we took advantage three botany references. Results: 18 found. 85% presented species, genus families reported properties remaining 15% there no reports effect. Flowers fruits most used part plants. Most simultaneous protective multiple organs but effect mostly accompanied by stomach (83%). average temperament these "hot" 2nd phase grade, "dry" 3rd grade. Hepatoprotective prescribed compound formula other for diseases Crocus sativus, Pistacia lentiscus, Cinnamomum spp. Conclusions: Maybe common mechanism protecting both stomach. Aquilaria agallocha, malaccensis, Ruscus aculeatus whose not yet good candidates future investigations. Given that spp flavors countries, they will be introduced more investigation produce drugs.
