摘要: Purpose To assess the quality of life (QoL) following palliative radiotherapy (RT) in patients with painful bone metastases. Methods A literature search limited to English-written publications was carried out, through Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials (November 2018), OvidSP and PubMedCentral (1940-November 2018) databases. Subject headings keywords included "quality life"(QoL), "bone metastases", "palliative therapy", "pain" "radiotherapy". Original articles, reviews, trials meta-analyses revealing alterations QoL post-RT using ratified measuring tools were examined. Studies referring other types metastases (e.g. brain metastases), or therapy use bisphosphonates alone), focusing only on pain, even reporting before after RT excluded. Results Twenty four articles selected from a total 1360 articles. Seven proceeded patients' randomization. The most commonly used tool evaluate EORTC, followed by Brief Pain Inventory (BPI) Edmonton Symptom Assessment System (ESAS) questionnaires. All studies showed improvement symptoms functional interference scores RT. between responders (Rs) non-responders (NRs) has been juxtaposed 10 studies. Rs had significant benefit comparison NRs. Discussion Palliative improves Rs' QoL.
