摘要: Human body odor may contribute to selection of partners. If so, sexual orientation influence preference for and perhaps production human odors. In a test these hypotheses, heterosexual homosexual males females made two-alternative forced-choice judgments odors obtained from other females. Subjects chose between (a) gay males, (b) females, (c) lesbians, (d) lesbians. Results indicate that differences in are detected responded on the basis of, part, an individual's gender orientation. Possible mechanisms underlying findings discussed.
