摘要: The human axillae have a characteristic odour that is comprised of or generated from mixture C6–C11 normal, branched, hydroxy- and unsaturated acids (and other compounds). We used ethyl esters one these palette fragrance compounds (tested individually) to evaluate the effectiveness chemicals reduce overall olfactory impact model stress-related (SRO) by cross-adaptation (adaptation odorant can sensitivity odorants). Sensory volunteers provided hedonic intensity ratings SRO each potential cross-adapting agents prior 2.5 min induced adaptation agent. Across adaptation, possible was evaluated intermittent evaluations perceived SRO. determined some did SRO; however, same were not necessarily effective for male female Indeed, list depended upon gender donor sensory volunteer, suggesting gender-specific response both SRO-stimuli cross-adapt it.
