摘要: Abstract In this paper, a polymeric waveguide thermo-optic switch with low power-consumption was demonstrated, which based on the Mach-Zehnder interferometer structure and designed for operating at polymer optical fiber low-loss window of 850 nm. The characteristic parameters device were carefully simulated. Moreover, to demonstrate influence heating electrode width power consumption device, different widths fabricated. At 850 nm wavelength, typical fabricated optimized presents lower 4.5 mW higher extinction ratio 26.5 dB. rise time fall are 400.0 μs 600.0 μs, respectively. could find applications in short-distance communication systems.
